He Sold Them to Other Gods (Judges 2:11-3:6) - Faith and Other Oddities Episode 41
As we wrap up the introductory material of the Book of Judges, we see that God is responding the actions of the Israelites by allowing the Canaanites to stay. The ongoing presence of God’s enemies in the midst of his children is explained as way to teach this new generation war and to test their faith. The Philistines make their debut appearance, and we are told that God has brought them to this land to serve his purposes. Othniel reappears as the first judge in Israel
