As we continue to follow the story of Gideon, we see his first acts of faith in destroying the altar of Baal and earns a new name. We explore the connections between Gideon and Abraham. We see how Judges serves as prophetic book, probably in the days of Manasseh, but also how Gideon’s story was problematic for the rabbis. Then we explore how themes of Gideon’s story connect with the New Testament teachings on spiritual warfare.
